Admission Rules & Prices
1. MEMBERSHIP: Any resident of Ottawa County 18 years of age or over may become a member of the Ottawa County Agricultural Society. Memberships are issued to individuals at a cost of $2.00 per year. They are available starting December 15, 2010 and will expire December 14, 2011 and can be purchased during regular office hours at the Sr. Fair Board Office or any member of the Board of Directors.
2. FAIR PASSES: 2011 Fair passes can be purchased from: - Sr. Fair Board Office or any Director - Luckey Farmers, Oak Harbor - National Bank of Oak Harbor, Oak Harbor - National Bank of Oak Harbor, Port Clinton - Mary's Blossom Shoppe, Port Clinton - Country Keg, Graytown - Luckey Farmers, Graytown - Genoa Ford, Genoa - Genoa Bank, Genoa - Bench's Greenhouse, Elmore - Tanks Meats, Elmore - Tina's Country Market, Elmore The fair pass admits pass holder only, is non-transferable, and no replacements will be issued. The costs are as follows: - FAIR PASS: 18 years and older - $20.00 each - YOUTH PASS: ages 9-17 years old - $15.00 each 3. FAIR ADMISSIONS: - General Admission (9 years & over) with parking- $ 5.00 - Junior Fair Exhibitors with valid pass - Free admission. - Commercial Exhibitors, Concessionaires & Workers - Valid concession pass for admission. - Adult Passes & Youth Passes - Free admission with valid pass. - Senior Citizens Day - Free admission for those 60 years old & older w/proper ID. - Veterans Day - Free admission w/proper ID. - Physically challenged clients/groups - Free admission. Chaperone(s) pay gate admission. RIDES & GRANDSTAND EXTRA FOR ALL FREE & PAID ADMISSIONS 4. ANNUAL ELECTION: The Annual Election will be held Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Fairgrounds, east of Oak Harbor. Any resident of Ottawa County residence holding a 2011 membership as of July 24, 2011 is eligible to vote in the annual election. 5. NOMINATION OF DIRECTORS: Any member of the society is eligible to become a director. Nominating petitions may be obtained from the Secretary's office, or 7870 W. SR 163, Oak Harbor, Ohio 43449. Phone (419) 898 1971. Candidates for the office of director must be residents of the area represented and must file with the Secretary of the Society a valid petition signed by 10 or more members of the Society who are residents of the county. Petitions must be notarized and submitted at least seven days (July 17, 2011) prior to the annual election. 6. RELEASE OF EXHIBITS: Saddle & Draft Horses 6:30 p.m. and all still exhibits, market and all other non-market animals 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2011. 7. No motorcycles, scooters or bicycles will be permitted on the grounds during the fair. Parking space will be provided near the gate. 8. No beer or any other alcoholic beverages allowed on the fairgrounds. Violators will be asked to leave. 9. No parking around tents and buildings, day or night. All vehicles to be parked in designated areas. All vehicles in violation of this rule will be towed away at the OWNER'S EXPENSE. 10. All deliveries to food stands, commercial exhibits and open class/flower show are to enter fairgrounds at east gate. 11. All animal feed deliveries, food deliveries, product delivery and servicing of commercial booths will be allowed 20 minutes for those particular activities all vehicles in violation of this rule will be towed away at OWNER'S EXPENSE. USE EAST GATE. 12. Designated horse riding area is the arena. Horse riding will not be allowed in any other areas and all horses are to be kept at the horse barns, the area east of the horse barns and the arena. Horses absolutely forbidden on the midway, north and west of the horse barns. 13. All campers, 9 years and older, must buy a 2011 Ottawa County Fair Pass. Camping fee must be paid before camper unit will be located in camping area. Vehicles must park in the northeast parking lot. 14. No person shall be permitted to make solicitations of any nature on the fairgrounds except in contracted concession or commercial rented spaces. No person will be permitted to post or display signs, distribute handbills or advertising material or sell or distribute free any merchandise, except persons under contract. 15. All pets must have a pet registration and confined to campground area. They must also be on leash and under control at times. There will be no pets on the midway or near food stands. |
